Fair Hills Resort
Emily and Patrick practically grew up together at Fair Hills Resort in Detroit Lakes, MN. Her family ran the place and his family owned a cabin there. So it was only natural that she and Patrick marry there too. They planned their wedding for October 6--the resort would be closed for the Summer and guests could stay in the cabins instead of nearby hotels. The weather was unseasonably cold but the lodge's roaring wood fireplace and delicious homemade food kept us warm all weekend long.
The groom's dinner was held in a barn at the family's Five Lakes Resort.
Frost crunched beneath our feet as we moved from cabin to cabin, photographing the bridal party as they primped (and partied).
When it was time to eat, the lodge rang it's bell (as it does all summer long) summoning guests to its dining hall.
At dinner, guests sang traditional camp songs.
