Olive Juice in RM

Ben was a bartender at Tap House downtown when we photographed his headshot for Rochester Magazine’s “Favorite Restaurants” cover. The magazine’s readers chose Ben as their favorite bartender and Tap House’s buffalo cheese curds as their favorite appetizer. That was in February 2017. Ben later switched jobs to work for Natalie Victoria at Victoria’s Ristorante and Wine Bar and met a waitress named Madi. Madi immediately chose Ben as her favorite. Ben claims he resisted Madi’s advances for a long time, saying she was too young and too good for him. Madi, however, persisted until he gave in. Then, she graduated from nursing school and took him to South Carolina. Natalie threw a goodbye party for Ben and Madi and hired us to photograph it. Part way through the event, Scott got the idea to recreate Ben’s cover photo with Madi - a full circle kind of thing. The photo reminds me of a scene from the Disney movie Lady and Tramp and proves, once again, we take “I love you” photos.
