Thank you for considering Olive Juice Studios (we, us, our)! We run our business a little differently from other photographers, so please take a minute to look over these terms. If we’re on the same page before your photo shoot, your experience and (hopefully) our long-term relationship will be better for it.

Booking Your Photo Shoot

A non-refundable retainer secures your shoot date and time.

Rescheduling

• If you need to reschedule your photo shoot, please let us know at least 3 days in advance. You can reschedule one time without penalty.
• If you do not show up for your photo shoot or reschedule it more than once, you forfeit your retainer.
• If we reschedule your photo shoot due to weather or illness, we’ll transfer your retainer to the new date.

Reshoot

We approach every photo shoot with the best, most pure intentions. We want your photos to be as amazing as you do. If we don’t think your photos are worthy of a magazine cover, we’ll be the first to suggest a re-shoot. If you want a reshoot because you don’t like what God gave you or you didn’t follow our instructions, we’ll decline.

Getting Your Photos | Family, Baby, Senior

• Every image is carefully chosen, color corrected and retouched.
• Matching “social media” files (based on product order) are digital, complimentary and include our logo. They are sized for sharing on screens, not for printing on your own.
• After a photo shoot, it can take up to 4 weeks to prepare photos for an order session.
• Orders, including custom designs, must be approved and paid (in full or part) before we prepare and send artwork to our print vendors.
• It can take up to 8 weeks to get finished products back from the vendors.
• Screen colors (as seen during order session) are more vibrant than printed products.
• Final payment is due on or before order delivery.
• All sales are final.

Getting Your Photos | Headshot

• Headshot, product and event photos are sold as full-size digital files, delivered in an online gallery (unless we’ve agreed otherwise).
• Turnaround time on headshot, product and event photos varies by deadline and quantity.
• Final payment is due on or before photo delivery.
• All sales are final.

Copyright & Image Use

• We retain copyrights to all our images and grant specific usage rights (licenses) to customers.
• Licenses are included with digital photos.
• You may not alter, sell, copy, use or share our images for other purposes without our written permission.
• We may use a few of your photos on our website or social media to showcase our work.

Style & Creative Control

We only know how to photograph one way - our way. People and events are documented at our discretion and in the colorful, casual, emotive style you see on this website. All attempts are made to honor your requests for specific images, but due to unforeseen acts of God and people, we cannot guarantee the images will be photographed or usable. Behind-the-scenes videos or photographs are not permitted.

Liability

You are responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions before hiring us for a photo shoot and/or placing an order. We reserve the right to refuse products and services to unreasonable people. Our total liability is limited to half the amount you paid.

Image Storage

We archive images from a photo shoot for a minimum of 12 months. You are responsible for the long-term safekeeping of your purchased images. This includes framing them with museum glass (prevents fading) and downloading/storing digital images on your own servers, hard drives and/or clouds. Access to images must be secured to prevent unauthorized use by others.

Agreement

If you book a photo session and/or purchase any of our products/services, you’re agreeing to these terms.

Jurisdiction

Our relationship with you is governed and interpreted by the laws of the State of Minnesota. You waive all rights to personal jurisdiction, venue, and forum convenience for any court proceedings. In the event of an award, judgment, or settlement in favor of Olive Juice Studios, you will pay all costs and expenses incurred by our legal counsel and us. Costs and expenses include but are not limited to reasonable fees, arbitration costs, court costs, and interest on the award, judgment, or settlement.
