Olive Juice in Coco Movie

Disney Pixar published one of our wedding photos in its Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) themed movie, Coco. It appears alongside hundreds of other pictures in a “digital ofrenda” during the closing credits. The ofrenda (altar) pays tribute to loved ones who are no longer here. In this case, the loved ones belong to Disney Pixar employees who worked on the film. Our bride’s brother is one of those employees. He submitted an Olive Juice picture of their dad to thank him for his support and inspiration when he was alive and to ensure he is not forgotten.

The company’s legal department asked for our permission to use the picture before the movie was released. We were EXCITED - this was going to be our biggest CLAIM TO FAME yet. Then, we saw the movie and couldn’t find our photo (clip starts at 1:07 in video below). There were soooo many photos and they were all soooo tiny. The bride eventually had to send us a cheat sheet.
