Olive Juice in Vanity Fair

Scott photographed Nickolas Butler for his first book, Shotgun Lovesongs, in 2013. Nickolas published a second book, The Hearts of Men, four years later but his publicist hired someone else to photograph him. We found out when Vanity Fair contacted us and asked to purchase usage rights to one of our Nickolas headshots. The magazine’s art director didn’t like Nickolas’ new headshots and wanted to use ours instead.
