ChatGPT Gives Color Advice
Scott recently asked a marketing manager if she needed clothing color suggestions for her employees’ headshots. She confidently responded, “No, I used AI to come up with a color palette that coordinates with our website.” I was so intrigued, I ran a fictitious experiment for 12th Street Dental. This is the “cozy family” color combination ChatGPT suggested:
Here’s How I Did It
Step 1: I asked ChatGPT “can you suggest a color palette for 12th street dental in rochester mn”
Step 2: ChatGPT looked at 12th Street Dental’s website and responded with 3 options: Bright Dental Calm, Alternative Classic Clean, Friendly and Approachable.
Step 3: ChatGPT asked if I wanted to tweak the options for a specific vibe. I responded “please tweak to cozy family focus”.
Step 4: ChatGPT gave me a list of alphanumeric color codes (see red boxes in image below).
Step 5: I asked Google to show me color swatches for each code.
